PROMOTING ACADEMIC WOMEN

Supporting women academics to progress their careers.

Our Focus

Supporting women to apply for promotion, with a strong emphasis on increasing the number of women employed at Level D and E in Higher Education.

To achieve this, we aim to build a positive and welcoming network for women in academia to come together to share, learn and advance their careers, and we offer members a range of free events, activities and resources.

As our name suggests, our ultimate goal is to encourage and support more women to prepare and apply for academic promotion. We welcome women academics from all levels to get involved, and while we are based at the University of Tasmania, those who are located around Australia (and the world) are warmly welcome to join us.
