Dr Megan Woods

Megan Woods is a Senior Lecturer and Discipline Leader for the Management Discipline at the University of Tasmania.

Her focus as an academic, author, professional speaker and life coach is to meet people where they are at, and help them bridge the gap between what they can achieve on their own, and what they can achieve with guidance, support and encouragement. In her academic work, she focuses on work-related mental health, psychological safety, and various ways that work-related experiences impact people’s feelings of hope, optimism, resilience and self-efficacy (aka their psychological capital). In recent years, she has focused particularly on enhancing return-to-work support for people who have experienced work-related psychological injuries, particularly depression, anxiety and / or burnout. As the founder of Flourishing Phoenixes, she specialises in heart-centred coaching for people who want to flourish after work-related experiences they found depleting or toxic, and / or change what their work brings to their lives.
